Five Hour Beef Stew
This is for a single batch, adjust accordingly for larger roaster. We usually double everything except the tapioca. We fill a large roasting pan for a family of 5, with 3 large eaters.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds stewing beef, or whatever you wish to use
- 1 cap beef broth
- 5 carrots
- 4 large potatoes
- ½ cup celery
- ½ green pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons tapioca
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the beef broth, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, and tapioca. li>Put meat and vegetables in roaster. Mix well.
- Pour the beef broth mixture in the bowl over meat and veggies.
- Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 5 hours. Do not peek or stir.
