Desktop Wallpaper


Wallpaper is an image that is displayed in the background of the desktop of your computer.

Below is calendar wallpaper that displays a seasonal picture and a small calendar of the current month. Instructions on how to choose and install the wallpaper on your computer can be found at the bottom of this page. The wallpaper will be updated each month, so come back again to download the updates.

Windows Instructions

  1. Choose a picture that you would like to use as your wallpaper. Beneath each picture there are two choices for resolution, 800x600, which is best for smaller or lower resolution moniters and 1024x768, which is best for larger screens and higher resolution moniters. Click on your choice and a larger copy of the picture will open in another window.


  2. Right click with your mouse and choose either "Set As Wallpaper" or "Set as Background."


  3. The image will now be on your desktop


  4. If you would like to change the wallpaper, click on a new image and follow the same process.


Macintosh Instructions

  • Choose a picture that you would like to use as your wallpaper. Beneath each picture there are two choices for resolution, 800x600, which is best for smaller or lower resolution moniters and 1024x768, which is best for larger screens and higher resolution moniters. Click on your choice and a larger copy of the picture will open in another window.


  • Click and hold on the image. A pop-up menu will appear. Choose "Download Image to Disk" or "Save this Image as" and save the wallpaper. Note the location where you stored the image.

    • From the Apple Menu, Select the "Appearance" control panel and click on the "Desktop" tab.
    • If you are currently using a wallpaper image on your desktop, click on "Remove Picture".
    • Click on "Select Picture" or "Place Picture.
    • Choose the image that you saved.
    • Click on "Set Desktop".

      Next Steps for OS X

    • From the Apple Menu, Select "System Preferences".
    • Click on the Desktop Icon or the Select Picture button.
    • Click on "Choose Folder" and select the folder in which you saved the image.
    • Select the image and click "Choose".
