Emma's Sugar Cookies

These easy to make cookies are crunchy and perfect for cutting out with cookie cutters.

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 ½ tsp. vanilla
• 4 ½ cups flour
• 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
• ¼ tsp. salt

Instructions

1. Cream together butter and sugar.
2. Add eggs and vanilla.
3. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add.
4. Chill dough well.
5. Roll thin and cut out with cookie cutters.
6. Place on cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
7. Sprinkle with granulated or colored sugar, if you wish. Cookies may also be frosted after baking.
8. Bake in 350 degree oven 13 minutes or until light brown.
